BAGS Spring Open Results at Thornbury GC

 

To kick the season off Thornbury GC was the chosen venue for this years Spring Open,

with 20 players in the field notably dressed for a monsoon as the weather forcast didn't

look to pleasing!

As it turned out, we got lucky while the sun shone on the odd occaision and we only

had a rather brisk chill wind from the west which tested all.

It was a little dissapointing to see that the club management allowed Buggies on the course

ahead of us, when their muddy tracks were quite visable in the very wet conditions in places.

A very enjoyable day was had by all, and the only notable 'Blonde Moment' occured when 3

regular golfers decided that one of their 'Longest Drives' should be marked to the side of the

fairway in the ruddy rough even though his ball was clearly in the middle of the fairway cut

as it should have been to claim the longest drive.
